I'm Judith Quioñes, and I was born and raised in Los Angeles. I graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Music from Harvard University, and a Master's Degree in Ethnomusicology from UCLA. I got a primer in photography as part of a my graduate seminar on ethnographic field methods, and I was instantly hooked. Since then, I have studied privately and with mentors, and have consistently honed my skills.

As a result of my initial training, I have a very active, engaged, and ethnographic working style. I strive for natural shots and candid expressions that allow viewers to relive moments with all of their original emotion. I also look for images that convey the unique ethos of a particular occasion. You're likely to see me standing on chairs, laying belly-up on the floor, or doing just about whatever it takes to get you the best possible images without being obtrusive. I also know when to add light direction, crazy-fun, or formality when needed.

When I am behind a camera, life is good. I'm focused and joyful about shooting — whatever the subject may be. Though I enjoy landscapes and portraits, I adore photographing children, weddings, or other social occasions that feature love as the main character. When you bring me on board, I will be truly honored and committed to bringing your spirit to the images I capture of your family or your special day. The way I see it: Your life shines, your images should too!

I look forward to working with you and those you love, and sharing in some of the magical moments of your lives!
